year's supply

  1. A supply of food, clothing, and, where possible, fuel and other items necessary to sustain life for a year. Church leaders encourage members, where possible, to store such items as a principle of management and in preparation for an emergency.

Usage notes

"Do you have your year's supply?"

"Finding room for a year's supply is often a challenge. Our year's supply is stored in the space underneath our beds."
