Dispensation

  1. One of several systems or bodies of law in which at different periods God has revealed his mind and will to man, such as the Patriarchal Dispensation, the Mosaic Dispensation, etc.[1]
  2. The period of time during which one of these systems or bodies of law apply, i.e., the period Adam to Noah is called the Patriarchal Dispensation.[2]
